Our son, now almost 15, started his piano journey when he was 9 years old. From the beginning, he was determined to become a pianist, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Jens through an online search.
Given the number of unqualified music teachers out there, we took a chance, and it turned out to be the best decision for our son’s musical growth.
As a lifelong amateur musician myself, I can confidently say that Jens is an exceptionally talented and professional piano teacher in Marbella, Nueva Andalucia, and Estepona.
Not only is he highly skilled in music theory, but his technical proficiency allows him to teach and perform a wide range of music genres, from classical to jazz. No matter how complex the piece, Jens can play and explain it with ease.
More importantly, Jens has the one quality that truly sets a great teacher apart: patience. Our son isn’t always the easiest student, but over the last 5 years, Jens has guided him to become an accomplished piano player, especially considering his age. His progress is remarkable!
In addition to piano, our son also enjoys singing. Jens introduced us to an excellent vocal coach, and now our son is able to both play the piano and sing songs by a variety of artists, from classical composers to contemporary musicians.
He has even performed at several social events, which has boosted his confidence tremendously.
When we asked our son what he loves most about his piano lessons with Jens, he said: “Jens has a great sense of humor, he’s patient, and he teaches me a wide range of music.” That’s a strong testimonial for any teacher, and we wholeheartedly agree.

He brings more to the table than most teachers, as he has had years of performing live on stage (and still does) and can impart this knowledge into his teaching. He has also helped me prepare arrangements for playing live, and this has proven to be invaluable.
